Why I Don't Care Much For "Launch My Line" on Bravo...
Ok, so I watched the premiere of "Launch My Line" on Bravo last night and I knew I didn't like it within the first 10 minutes of the show. Firstly, the show is a lame attempt by Bravo to make up for losing Project Runway to Lifetime IMO, albeit with a slight twist. The entire premise of the show is that a "well known personality" is paired with a "design expert" to assist them in launching their line. So after the first 5 minutes of the show, I'm saying to myself, "This is brazen exploitation! They're pimping these designers!" I read an article recently over at The Faster Times regarding celebrities or well known personalities doing clothing lines that pretty much sums it up for me. So yeah... I don't think I'll be TIVOing "Launch My Line" anytime soon. Not a fan.
