We're all to blame for Heidi Montag's plastic surgery

We're all to blame for Heidi Montag's plastic surgery

I really hoped I would be strong enough to not give in to Heidi Montag's most recent fame-whoring, which came in the form of a People Magazine story detailing 10 plastic surgeries she got at once.

But then she went and partially blamed MTV's After Show for her decision to remodel her body.

"On blogs and on After Shows and things people would circle my chin and say I had a Jay Leno chin, so I wouldn't smile on red carpets," Montag told that reporting wizard Billy Bush on Access Hollywood.

And of course, After Show hosts Jessi Cruickshank and Dan Levy didn't let Heidi spread such claims without responding.

"Okay first of all, I would just like to say that here on the After Show we would never make a Jay Leno chin joke," Cruickshank said on last Wednesday's show. "That's not even funny."

"And it's just not true. It's actually hard to substantiate that absurd claim with a straight face," Levy continued. "And we take pride in the fact that our show doesn't condone plastic surgery on young stars and people in general."

Personally I blame People Magazine for agreeing to give Heidi Montag a magazine cover she doesn't deserve. And myself for continuing the cycle of publicity she so desperately craves. Oh the vicious cycle! How do I make it stop?!
