Ok, I love LOST, and I’m just going to pull the band aid off quickly to avoid any further personal pain and admit to thinking that this episode, in a word, sucked. What the hell happened? Sure, it is nice to see Kate help Claire off-island and convince her to keep her baby, but Claire is a back burner character, and I don’t want to be served up crap. Sure, I enjoyed seeing Charlie fall in love with Claire, but it was just because he is so much fun to watch onscreen. I know they are going to thrust Claire back to the front burner, and I don’t want to even see it, especially if the rest of the season is going to turn out as bad as tonight did.

I want answers, not more questions. Tonight, I got more questions, and no answers. Sure, Sayid is infected, and needs to swallow a bitter pill, because if “The Darkness” reaches his heart, he will be gone for good. What is that a metaphor for? I see no use coming up with a theory like I always do. Um, I saw Sayid go bad during the flash-forward season in LA. And when Ancient Chinese Secret (My name for Mr. Foo Man Cho whose name I couldn’t quite catch, was it Togan?) told Jack “this happened to his sister” I just wanted to yell “Spare me!”

Only one other time can I remember LOST not airing a great episode, and I think it followed one the best ones, so I’m assuming this week is a fluke. This show better not go down the tubes, man. If you liked LOST tonight, please feel free to change my mind, as I wanted to like it. I did enjoy seeing the “Good Ethan” and I liked that some random LA mechanic would free Kate from her handcuffs just because she is hot. That is such typical hilarious guy behavior.

Theory of the week, just for fun.

Oh, here, let me redeem myself with a theory I mentioned in my last week episode recap, or actually, I mentioned it in the comments under my recap from last Tuesday. I think that every character on LOST could be a copy of themself in different points in time. For instance, each character is on The Island in three stages because there are three different time lines going on. Example, Miles is Dr. Marvin Candle and also Ancient Chinese Secret dude, and Aaron is Clair and perhaps even Eloise Hawking, and so on. I was searching for funny Claire YouTube videos to rag further on her, and all I could find are ones full of Claire set to romantic chick songs, all assuming made by 15 year old girls who identify with Claire and “her hard life.” Last time I checked girls John Locke’s dad stole his kidney and pushed him out a window, paralyzing him. That is the character you should be feeling sorry for. But, I found these fantastic morph videos which are so cool, and they could prove my weak theory for the week.
