Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day
What are your Valentine’s Day plans?  Do you have a Valentine?  Are you alone this year?  Are you happy about it, or sad?  Are you sitting home in the pj’s, enjoying (or hating) the snow?  Going out and doing something fancy?  Any vacation plans?  Or, is this you? What are your Valentine’s Day plans?  Do you have a Valentine?  Are you alone this year?  Are you happy about it, or sad?  Are you sitting home in the pj’s, enjoying (or hating) the snow?  Going out and doing something fancy?  Any vacation plans?  Or, is this you?

If you didn’t get a Valentine’s Day card, feel free to print mine and put in on your fridge, because everyone deserves to have a Valentine

Tonight we “doubled” with our daughter and her boyfriend, and had our little guy with us as well.  Actually, we were celebrating her birthday, not going out for Valentine’s Day at all but we experienced the mass craziness of a packed restaurant.  Nothing uber fancy, but steak was involved, so my heart is happy tonight.  My husband told me before we left “You look very nice, but why are you dressed up so much?”  Ha, I had to laugh at that one.  I looked at him and said “Do I go anywhere?”  Now that I’m a virtual shut-in I’ve turned meeting-the-boyfriend-for-the-first-time into Valentine’s Day plans.  We had fun, it was the first time meeting the new boyfriend, and the poor kid only ate half his burger, he was so nervous.  I told our girl I’m glad I made him take it home because I know he’s starving and at least now he can eat in peace.  My eleven year old wanted to take the dancing waitresses picture and call up his buddy right at the table.  Having Asperger’s, this is not normal behavior for him at all.  I asked him was it because he thought they were pretty or because it was a fun experience and he couldn’t answer me, so I knew I had witnessed his first moment enjoying the older ladies, lol!  My first Valentine’s Day with my husband was spent in Toronto, and tomorrow, I will be in my pjs, possibly unshowered, helping kids do homework and making tacos and my famous peanut butter pie.  And, I will be perfectly happy about it.

Happy Valentine’s Day, no matter how lame or fabulous it may be!
